Mary B. DeRosa is Professor from Practice at Georgetown University Law Center, where she co-directs the Global Law Scholars Program and works with the Center on National Security Law.  She served as Deputy Assistant and Deputy Counsel to President Obama and as Legal Adviser to the National Security Council.  She has also served as Alternate U.S. Representative to the United Nations General Assembly, Chief Counsel for National Security to the U.S. Senate’s Judiciary Committee, NSC Legal Adviser and Deputy Legal Adviser in the Clinton Administration, and Special Counsel to the General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Defense.  Before joining the government, she practiced law with Arnold & Porter.

Prof. DeRosa graduated from the University of Virginia and received her law degree from the George Washington University Law School.  She also clerked for Judge Richard J. Cardamone at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
