The Global Leadership Awards Gala is the most important fundraising event of the year of the International Student House of Washington, DC.  It is a celebration of international exchange, peace and understanding.  Your generosity allows us to empower the next generation of global leaders through a unique residential experience that instills global competencies and community values.  For nearly 90 years, 15,000+ international scholars representing over 140 countries, including the U.S., have called “the House” their home while in Washington, DC. 

The mission of the International Student House of Washington, DC, a nonprofit in the heart of Washington, DC, is to foster intercultural dialogue, life-long connections, and global citizenship by providing an exceptional residential experience to a highly diverse international community of graduate students, interns, visiting scholars, and young professionals. 

International Student House of Washington, DC is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Proceeds from this year’s event will help support our mission, including programs and operations.

Highlights from the 2025 Gala

Last year, the House was delighted to bring the Global Leadership Awards Gala “back home” to the historic Meserve-Lloyd House. Supporters and donors gathered for dinner throughout the residence, experiencing firsthand the home and community their generosity helps make possible.
